OPI Katy Perry review

Most likely, you have heard Katy Perry’s songs before. After all, it’s pretty hard to not hear her songs. Something that I love about Katy Perry is her unique fashion sense. Yes, sometimes it can be a little out there, but most of the time it is fun to look at. Something that I have always liked about Katy Perry’s style is the unique nail colors that she uses. This is why I was so happy when I found out that OPI was coming out with a Katy Perry Collection. Before you go buy Katy Perry’s nail polishes, you are probably wondering what my review is. So, what do I think of OPI’s Katy Perry collection?

I think that OPI did an alright job with their Katy Perry collection. I found that some of the colors were not that wearable. For example, in the bottle, Last Friday Night looks like a wonderful, sparkly blue. However, it is very opaque. I put three coats on my nails and it was still very transparent, which really disappointed me. The color looked so pretty in the bottle, but it just didn’t do anything for me on my nails.

The two colors that I liked the most out of the collection were called The One That Got Away and Teenage Dream. The One That Got Away is a dark plum color and it looked really good on my nails. Teenage Dream is a lighter pink color and it looks good with the black shatter polish on top. Teenage Dream with black shatter on top makes it look like you have leopard print on your nails.

The last color in the collection is called Not Like The Movies, which is a light green/silver color that I didn’t like very much.

Like all OPI nail polishes, the application was smooth and the polishes do not chip easily at all. I feel like I got my money’s worth because the product is so high quality, even though I do not like the colors of Not Like The Movies and Last Friday Night.

I think that you should at least give the OPI Katy Perry collection a try because it might surprise you. I know that I do not like my nails opaque, but if you do, then you will like Last Friday Night. The two colors that I would wear the most would be The One That Got Away and Teenage Dream.
