NARS Vera Cruz Lipstick review

Lately I have been trying to get darker lipsticks shades. I usually wear nudes or pinks, but I think that darker reds and plums would look good to. A few days ago I went to the NARS counter and got a sheer plum lipstick called Vera Cruz. I thought that starting out with a sheer plum lipstick would be better than getting an opaque one because there wouldn’t be as much color on my lips. So, what’s my NARS Vera Cruz Lipstick review?

NARS Vera Cruz is one of my favorite plum lipsticks. The main reason that I like Vera Cruz so much is because it is a sheer color. I love how I can get just a little color for the daytime and then build my look up at night. Vera Cruz is a very buildable lipstick which I love. There is gold shimmer in Vera Cruz, but it isn’t so much that it looks tacky. I have liked wearing Vera Cruz this summer, but I think that it will look even better in the winter since it is a darker shade.

Even though this color is not my favorite everyday lipstick, I have enjoyed wearing this sheer plum shade lately. I think that NARS Vera Cruz is a very versatile lipstick and it can be worn in the day or at night depending on how you apply it. Personally I do like putting a lip gloss on top of Vera Cruz, but you definitely do not have to. I did find the formula to be a bit drying, but I think this is just because it has shimmer in it. If you are looking for a plum lipstick with gold shimmer, you should try Vera Cruz. It is expensive, but I think the price is worth it.
